Course Description: 
Oral communication, especially in the public, is an important requirement in life. Giving speeches, as a performative act, helps individuals connect themselves with other individuals. As a result, it is important that students are taught on how to express their ideas to different groups of the audience with using effective body language, how to read the reactions of their audience, and how to defend and justify for their viewpoints in a positive manner. Students in this class will learn about different types of speeches in the public such as informative speech, persuasive speech, argumentative speech, and commemorative speech.
