Phường Thọ Quang, thành phố Đà Nẵng, Việt Nam
Only 10 km away from the center of Danang city, Son Tra Peninsula belongs to Son Tra District. It is one of Da Nang’s most-visited attractions with fantastic, untouched natural scene with transparent sea, white sand, and mysterious primitive jungle with a vast diversity of plants and rare animals such as brown-shanked douc langur, stag, monkey gibbon, orang-outang, red face cock. There are many famous beaches there, some of them have gained quite a fame recently such as North Beach, South Beach (whose names explain their position on the peninsula), and Buddha Beach. Under the surface layer of the cool, refreshing seawater live a variety of fascinating coral reefs, which enable scuba diving services to develop in a steady, fast rate in the last few years. Visitors are advised to spend some time admiring the Goddess of Mercy statue itself. It is the highest statue in Vietnam, measuring 67 metres in height and 35 metres in diameter at its base and 18 statues of Arhat carved meticulously by skillful artisans If you ever have a chance to visit Son Tra Peninsula, do not forget to stay at one of the villages built on the mountains; those comfortable villages not only overlook the beautiful beaches and jungles, but also provide you a fresh and invigorating atmosphere.
